Bon Voyage!

Okay everyone, get your scrolling fingers ready! We were going to put pictures together in little foresomes to make it easier to see all of them, but Photoshop is not working on our computer so you can just scroll through them all! We tried to be selective as to not bore you with pictures that you probably don't care to see. Enjoy!

Our cruise to the Bahamas was a blast. I am so glad that we went with 2 of our favorite couples from dental school, the Wests and the Whites. We had perfect weather and I don't think we have anything bad to say about it. We feel very lucky to have the vacation that we've been hoping and planning for for so long!
The Royal Carribean Majesty of the Seas

Us with Krystal and Bryce White before leaving Miami
Chauncey, Jonathan, and Bryce at our dinner the first night

Our first port of call was Nassau, Bahamas. Jonathan and I booked a "dolphin encounter" excursion where we stood in wasit-deep water and got to dance with, hug, and kiss a dolphin! Then we got to pick up sea creatures from a little pool of water. Jonathan is holding a conch shell with the animal still inside it.

This is a sea urchin that tries to poke its prey but human skin is too thick so it just feels like it is tickling.
Star fish

Here is Flipper, the actual dolphin used in the movie, because I know you all care.

Having fun on the pool deck
The second night at dinner was formal attire, so we all had fun dressing up.
Teeny tiny hot tub to soak our tired bones!
On the second night, there was a midnight buffet on the pool deck, including a big dance party, ice sculptures, and a roasted pig!

Our group decided to take a little trip to the ship's casino (while I did my crossword puzzle in the library, of course!) Jonathan actually won $15 of dirty money.
Our next port of call was CocoCay, Bahamas. Royal Carribean owns this small private island so only passengers on the ship could use it. It was a day of relaxing, sun bathing, and snorkling (and sun burns).

Jonathan, Bryce, Chauncey, and Mel in their hot snorkel gear.
What studs! We love our boys.

On the last day, Jonathan, Bryce, and I decided to do the rock wall. I was so proud of myself that I made it to the top! It's a lot harder than it looks and it was pretty scary for me.
Our last port was Key West, Florida. It is a small 1x4 mile island that hosts frozen key lime pie on a stick and the southernmost point in the continental U.S.
The scary sponge man!!
We had the best wait staff at dinner! Constantine and George took great care of us and we grew to love them.
Every night we got towel animals on our beds. This one is 2 swans kissing. How cute!
So, on the last night of the cruise I felt like getting a little crazy and I danced with our cruise director to "Mustang Sally" in the atrium area.
Our last evening on the ship.

After we got off the ship Friday morning, we had one excursion left. We took a tour of the Miami everglades and got to see a lot of alligators and other swamp life.

All in all, it was an awesome week! Thank you to the Whites and Wests for coming with us; you guys made it so much fun and we can't wait for the next cruise!

Love all the pics! It would be so much fun to go on a cruise! I'm glad you were able to go. Any time you want to get together, Dave is looking for a job right now, so we are open pretty much any time. Let me know?

How fun! I am so jealous! We get to go on a cruise right after Christmas so I am totally psyched now. Your cruise looked so relaxing and fun. Anyway, how is the job search going? Oh, and the lake we were at is American Lake, I think. One of the many lakes here in Lakewood.
